A message from Chef Poon…
"For the past few years I have traveled extensively, studied culinary trends, motivated students and appeared at major international events. I conducted Chinatown Tours for chefs from around the world. I traveled to San Diego, Orlando, Indiana and Dallas to carve watermelons for the National Watermelon Promotion Board. I experimented with Japanese, French and Italian cooking methods and ingredients, and Spanish Tapas. It was my privilege to receive an honorary doctorate from my alma mater, State University of New York (SUNY) College at Oneonta. It’s been an awesome time. After every trip, I happily return to my home city, Philadelphia.
The past year was even more special! The Olympics in Beijing along with my trip to China and Hong Kong in late March, the diverse guests on my Wok 'N Walk Tours, a host of guest appearances on TV and now Joe's Peking Duck, my newest restaurant at 108 Chestnut Street in Old City!
